In 2011 I redesigned the Special Reports, making them visually stronger and creating a change of pace within the weekly edition. The aim was also to maximise the impact of the imagery and encourage more design experimentation.
Election specials also allowed the opportunity to iterate on the weekly design. Creating a supplement that complimented the brand, but was distinct enough to engage readers, and work as a stand alone edition.
Extensive research for new illustrators to collaborate with enabled these editions to be visually distinct.
I also redesigned the covers of Technology Quarterly, allowing for a bigger bold image treatment and clearer cover flashes.
